RoHS Statement
The stockholders and employees of AlfaMag Electronics, LLC are long-time advocates of
environmental preservation. In keeping with legislation passed by the European
Union in 2003 requiring the reduction of certain hazardous substances (RoHS)
used in the manufacture of products, AlfaMag is taking the necessary steps
to ensure all suppliers are compliant to the RoHS directives.
Currently, nearly 90% of AlfaMag’s magnetic components (inductors,
chokes, transformers, etc) supplied by Talema Electronic are RoHS
complaint. Talema defines Pb-Free to mean all its products are compatible
with current RoHS requirements for all six substances including the
requirement that LEAD not exceed 0.1% by weight in all homogeneous material.
These substances include Pb, Cd, Hg, cr6+, PBB and PBDE. In some instances
only lead free solder will be utilized, and it is our policy to ensure
that all lead free items are backward compatible with existing lead
processes. Data sheets indicating RoHS compliance and solder profiles for lead free products are available.
Regarding our switching power supplies and wall adaptors,
it is AlfaMag’s
intent to avail our customers of fully RoHS compliant products by the
July 2006. We are working diligently with our supplier partners to ensure compliance by this deadline.
