Bits & Pieces
"It's How You Think"
No lions are ever caught in mousetraps. To catch lions you must think in terms of lions, not in terms of mice. Your mind is always creating traps of one kind or another, and what you catch depends on the thinking you do. It is your thinking that attracts to you what you receive.

"Serendipity"
For 10 years, Professor Alexander Fleming searched for ways to kill bacteria. Then one day, while he was tidying up his laboratory, he stacked several dirty dishes in a bath of antiseptic in order to clean them. He accidentally left out one dish that he had been using to grow bacteria. Ina laboratory beneath Fleming's, a researcher was working with fungi. Mold flew out of that researcher's lab into Fleming's lab, and landed right on the dish that Fleming had left out. As a result, mold started growing on the dish.
When he returned to his laboratory weeks later, Fleming came upon the moldy dish. He shrewdly observed that the mold had prevented the bacteria from growing. He had the presence of mind to recognize the significance of his unexpected finding. Fleming had stumbled upon a substance that could kill bacteria responsible for many human infectious illnesses. He called it penicillin. Fleming's serendipitous discovery has saved millions of lives.

"Cucumber Onion Salad"
Need something nice and cool and crunchy to go with your Bar-B-Q this summer..??? This recipe is super easy, and really cool. There are many different recipes similar to this one, but this is my own twist on it. Feel free to add a little of this or that if you prefer.
Ingredients
* 1 large cucumber (paired and sliced thin with a crinkle cutter)
* 1/2 large Vidalia onion (also sliced thin with a crinkle cutter)
* 2 cups water
1 tbsp virgin olive oil
2 tbsp white vinegar
1/2 tbsp chopped chives
1/2 tsp garlic salt
Preparation
1. Cut up cucumber and onion and place in large bowl.
2. Fill the bowl with water (approximately 2 cups) up to the top of the cucumbers and onions
3. Add the vinegar, chives, olive oil and garlic salt.
4. Stir well, mixing all ingredients together.
5, Cover with foil and chill in refrigerator for about an hour before serving.
The water and vinegar ratio is optional and you should fix it to fit your taste. Some people like a bit more vinegar, and some less. Also, some people like to put a little sugar in it, or mayonnaise, instead of the olive oil. And some, eve cut up a tomato and put that in it. It's up to you.... try it a little different each time you make it until you find the recipe mix that suits you best. This is a great side dish for BBQ chicken or BBQ pork steaks.
Ummmm, Ummmm....!!!!!
