Bits & Pieces
"Catchphrase"
My boyfriend and I are usually an unbeatable team when it comes to the game Catchphrase. But the other night, I offered a clue that stumped him: "It's the opposite of fission." He pondered it for a while before saying, "Hunting?"

"NO PARKING"
As I pulled into a crowded parking lot, I asked the cop standing there, "Is it all right to park here?" "No," he said. "Can't you see that NO PARKING sign?" "What about all those other cars in there?" He shrugged. "They didn't ask."

Military Intelligence
When I was in military intelligence, an infantryman teased me about my bog. "You guys don't even have to take any kind of physical training test," he said. "That's nonsense. We take one twice a year." "Yeah?" he said. "Well, we take one every six months."

I'll Be Back
My husband went to the florist to pick up flowers and was greeted by a sign that read "Back in 30 minutes." Later that day he returned and politely chastised the shopkeeper for not writing the time on the sign so he'd know when she'd left and would return. "You're right, that is confusing," she admitted. "I should have posted my usual note: "Be right back."

The Mistress
Up on the screen at our local multiplex, the star whispered to his female costar, "I want you to be my mistress."
"What's a mistress?" my eight-year-old granddaughter yelled out.
Then the man gave the woman a passionate kiss. "Never mind." said my granddaughter.

The IRS
When my friend phoned the IRS recently, he prefaced his comments by stating, "I'm calling with the stupid question of the day." The tired-sounding agent replied, "Too late."

"Hoisin-Honey Glazed Pork with Grilled Pineapple"
"And Pam's Salad Dressing"
First the "Hoisin-Honey Glazed Pork with Grilled Pineapple"
We're getting the grill fired up with a recipe that is sure to please everyone. This is very easy to fix and absolutely delicious. The grilled pineapples are a perfect compliment to the BBQ pork. I have to thank Pam from church for this salad dressing recipe. This is a wonderful dressing and it's a great side dish to go with the grilled pork and pineapple. I fixed some mini-cobb salads to put the salad dressing on , but you can fix any kind of salad for this dressing. Ummmmmmmm, Ummmmmmm...!!!!!
Ingredients
* 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
* 1 tablespoon honey
* 1 tablespoon grated fresh peeled ginger
* 1 teaspoon Asian sesame oil
* 1 whole pork tenderloin
* 1/2 medium pineapple, untrimmed
* 2 tablespoons brown sugar
Preparation
1. Prepare outdoor grill for covered direct grilling over medium heat. In small bowl, combine hoisin, honey, ginger, and oil.
2. Place pork on hot grill rack. Cover grill and cook pork 18 to 20 minutes, turning occasionally.
3. With serrated knife, cut pineapple half into 4 wedges. Rub cut sides of pineapple with brown sugar. Grill pineapple 10 minutes or until browned on both sides, turning over once. While pineapple is grilling, brush pork with hoisin-honey glaze and turn frequently until temperature on instant-read thermometer reaches 155 degrees F.
4. Transfer pork to cutting board; let stand 10 minutes. Transfer pineapple to platter.
5. Thinly slice pork and serve with pineapple wedges and salad.
Pam's Salad Dressing
Ingredients
* 1/2 cup canola oil
* 1/2 cup sugar
* 1/3 cup Pompeian Red Wine Vinegar
Preparation
1. Using an emptied and cleaned salad dressing bottle, combine all three ingredients and shake well. Shake well about every five minutes until sugar is dissolved. Refrigerate and chill. Shake well again before pouring on salad.
Ummmm, Ummmm....!!!!!
